Completed in March 2018, this project with Morrison Construction was an interesting challenge. The client required sun shade and full blackout blinds to operate alongside roof vents designed to provide smoke clearance to the main atrium.

We combined controls for both systems in to one package, ensuring that the blinds automatically retract on receipt of a fire signal, allowing the roof vents to fully open and ventilate the space. The addition of a dedicated UPS unit means that the 230V blind system will operate and retract during a fire event even when mains power is lost.
